Everything you need to prepare for your driving journey — theory, hazard perception, test booking and more.
Please read the following terms before booking your first lesson. These are in place to make sure lessons run smoothly and fairly for everyone.
Lessons are a minimum of 1.5 hours in duration and must be booked in advance. Longer sessions can be arranged and are a great way to make faster progress.
Lessons are generally available during school hours. Please get in touch to discuss available slots and find a time that works for you.
Lesson times and pick-up locations are agreed at the point of booking. Please ensure you are ready at the agreed pick-up point on time.
48 hours' notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling requests, free of charge.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice (unless due to a genuine emergency) will be charged at the full lesson rate.
If I (Leah) need to cancel a lesson for any reason, you will be given as much notice as possible and the lesson will be rescheduled or fully refunded.
Lessons are charged at £50 per hour, with a minimum booking of 1.5 hours (£75).
Payment is required at least 48 hours before your lesson. Lessons will not be confirmed until payment has been received.
Accepted payment methods include bank transfer (BACS) and cash. Please confirm your preferred method when booking.
If a lesson is cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, the payment is non-refundable except in genuine emergencies at my discretion.
I accompany pupils to their driving test at Cowley Test Centre only. If you have booked your test at a different test centre, I am unable to attend on the day.
However, I will train you to the highest standard so that you are fully prepared and confident to take your test at whichever centre you have booked — wherever that may be.
I strongly recommend booking your test at Cowley to take advantage of my full test-day support, including a pre-test lesson and accompaniment to the centre.
Pupils must be at least 17 years old to take driving lessons on public roads in the UK.
A valid UK provisional driving licence must be presented before the first lesson commences. Lessons cannot begin without one.
Pupils must be fit to drive and should inform me of any medical conditions or impairments that may affect their ability to safely operate a vehicle.
Pupils are expected to arrive sober and drug-free. Lessons will not proceed if I believe the pupil is under the influence of alcohol or drugs — full lesson fee still applies.
I reserve the right to terminate a lesson if a pupil's behaviour is unsafe, disrespectful, or poses a risk to any party. Full lesson fee will be charged.
Mobile phones must be turned off or set to silent and must not be handled during lessons.
My tuition vehicle is fully insured for learner drivers. However, in the event of an accident caused by the pupil's negligence, the pupil (or their parent/guardian if under 18) may be liable for any excess or repair costs.
In the event of a breakdown or mechanical issue with the vehicle, I will endeavour to reschedule the lesson at the earliest convenience. No charge will apply for lessons lost due to vehicle issues on my part.
Damage to the vehicle caused deliberately or through extreme carelessness will be charged to the pupil.
Lessons will proceed in most weather conditions as driving in varied weather is part of learning. However, I reserve the right to postpone or cancel a lesson if conditions are deemed dangerously unsafe (e.g. severe snow, flooding).
Cancellations due to severe weather will be rescheduled without charge.
Personal information (name, contact details, licence number) is collected solely for the purpose of managing lesson bookings and communications.
Your data will never be shared with third parties without your consent, and is stored securely in line with GDPR requirements.
You have the right to request access to, amendment of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting me directly.
